In-House Instrument Repair

10-07-2026

When the team at Community MusicWorks built the program’s new home, they brought their longtime luthier into their building. Erik Talley maintains more than 250 violins, violas, and cellos for CMW students. Along with repairing cracks and keeping pegs turning smoothly, he also works with students, teaching them the basics of instrument care and repair. Meet Erik and his work in this five-minute video.
