Young Musicians Celebrate Sephardic-Latino Connections

Over 1,000 students will perform on December 8 with the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony for the closing concert of the multi-week program, “A Patchwork of Cultures: Exploring the Sephardic–Latino Connection.” The program, now running annually for 20 years, invites young people to explore the historical, cultural, and musical connections between Sephardic Jewish and Latino communities. In a time of political and social divisiveness, this multicultural and intergenerational program is an example of how music can bring communities closer together.
