AMPLIFY Digital Music Project Launched in EU

Fourteen organizational partners from eight European countries gathered last month for the launch of the EU-funded AMPLIFY project, bringing together artists, technologists, and researchers to elevate “phygital” (physical-digital) experiences with music. The 36-month project will pilot two digital tools at four sites across Europe: AMPLIFY PORTABLE, which will enable musicians worldwide to play, learn, and collaborate online, and AMPLIFY IMMERSIVE, which will allow artists to create and share live, interactive experiences for remote audiences. We like that the project not only offers technological gains for music makers, but also prioritizes input from participants from marginalized communities.
