Longy’s New 1-Year Master of Music in Music Education
12-18-2019
Applications are now open for Longy School of Music of Bard College’s new one-year Master of Music in Music Education degree in Boston, MA. The new program, which starts in 2020, builds on the success of Longy’s Master of Arts in Teaching in Los Angeles, CA — the first El Sistema-inspired degree program in the US.
MM/ME students will work with under-served youth in Longy’s Sistema Side-by-Side program, greater Boston area public schools, and numerous El Sistema-inspired sites across the state. The program leads to Pre-K-12 Music Teaching Licensure in Massachusetts (and reciprocity with many other US states). Apply here by January 5, 2020.
