Applications Open for Youth Orchestra Summer Programs

Two outstanding youth orchestra programs are now accepting applications for their summer camps:

The regular application round for Side by Side’s annual international summer camp (June 12–17 in Gothenburg, Sweden) is open through this Friday, February 6 (just two days from now). Late applications will be accepted through April 10. Application information, including this year’s repertoire for choir and orchestra tracks, can be found on their website.

For readers in the U.S., The LA Phil’s YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) invites applications for the YOLA National Festival from musicians ages 12–18 involved in community music and El Sistema–inspired programs in the U.S. The week-long program (August 3–11) offers young musicians the opportunity to learn from and perform alongside world-renowned faculty, guest artists, and conductors. The priority deadline for applications is March 2.
