“It gave me great peace of mind to know that there are such capable and inspiring people whom I can turn to when I face problems that I cannot solve on my own.”

This was how one of my peers reflected on our three days together in Milan last August. Her words got to the heart of a question I had been thinking about for some time: 

What keeps a network alive?

What does it take to turn a young musician’s passion into a meaningful career? For Sistema Cyprus and Orquestra Geração, the answer lies in real, structured opportunity, tailored to young people who are too often overlooked by traditional systems.

Our two organizations have long collaborated on other successful European projects. Building on that experience, and seeing the similar challenges our students face, we teamed up once more to create the Erasmus+ project “InMus: From Youth to Professionalism.”

Music Art Project (MAP) se fundó en 2010 con la misión de contribuir al desarrollo a largo plazo de la sociedad y la cultura en Serbia. Cuatro años después, MAP puso en marcha el programa "Música de la Esperanza", inspirado en El Sistema, para ayudar al mayor número posible de niños y jóvenes a apreciar la música y disfrutar juntos de su belleza. En menos de tres años, Música de Esperanza ha pasado de 30 a 600 niños en siete ciudades gracias a la colaboración con escuelas públicas de primaria, escuelas de música y centros culturales y de bienestar social.
