Essaouira World Music Festival Promotes Human Rights

On June 19–21, the annual Essaouira Gnaoua and World Music Festival in Morocco will return with a diverse program of live music and events that promote human rights. Along with a full music program, the festival’s Human Rights Forum will host roundtable discussions on international mobility and migration, offering perspectives from academics, artists, and civil society stakeholders. The festival coincides with two major international events that celebrate freedom of movement and cultural expression later this month: World Refugee Day (June 20) and Make Music Day (June 21).
