A new community music hub is forming between the University of Macedonia, the International Centre for Community Music at York St John University, and the Greek Society of Music Education as they prepare to host the first Panhellenic Conference on Community Music on April 29–30 at the University of Macedonia. “Music & Musicians for a Harmonious Society: Beginnings, Experiences, Perspectives” welcomes all musicians, educators, social workers, and students who work with music to promote wellbeing in community and institutional settings. The conference invites international participation, and featured speakers will include community musicians and scholars from Greece, the U.K., Germany, Ireland, and Canada. Conference registration is €30, with a discounted rate available for students and members of the Greek Society of Music Education.
