Learning Planet Festival Hosts El Sistema Panel on January 24

The third edition of the global Learning Planet Festival—happening online from January 22–29 this year—will be celebrating the International Day of Education with a free virtual panel session titled Arts for All: Exploring the assets of arts-based educational projects with El Sistema at 18:30 CET on January 24, 2022. Organized and hosted by the leaders of the Community Arts Network (CAN), the panelists include: Ronnie Morales (El Sistema Venezuela), Alma Karić (Superar, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Tareq Al Jundi (Caritas Organization and Madrasati Initiative, Jordan), José Ángel Salazar Marín (El Sistema Greece), and Eric Booth (International Teaching Artist Collaborative). The session will address the ways that El Sistema-inspired approaches focus on young people, on teachers, on communities, and on international connections.

The session is accessible as a webinar through Zoom and will be followed by a live concert by ARKAI. All details are available at the festival website.
