U.S. School Expands Music Program with 3D-Printed Violins

10-01-2025

After budget cuts, a U.S. school is getting creative to help more students participate in music. With inspiration from the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra and some trial and error, superintendent Dr. Laura Jacob of Coal Center, Pennsylvania has now 3D-printed over 200 violins from her school office. She provides them to low-income students for free while offering a weekly club for students to learn how to play. Read more about the program at Classic FM.
