Two Youth Ensembles Honored by Their Governments

Sistema-inspired ensembles in Canada and England recently received big accolades at two high-profile events. In May, OrKidstra was invited by the Department of Canadian Heritage to perform for King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Lansdowne Park. (It’s been a big month for OrKidstra; follow their international tour to Japan on social media through June 6.) And in March, the London-based organization Nucleo was honored with a Voluntary and Community Sector Organisation Mayor’s Award for their contributions to the local community. The ceremony included a performance by Nucleo musicians.
