AIM Performance Videos Challenge the Status Quo

The Academy for Impact through Music‘s performance videos invite teaching artists to challenge the status quo in rehearsal and concert formats. During a 2024 residency in Lisbon, this innovative reinterpretation of Bach was one of a series of creations by AIM’s 4th cohort, as they explored how teamwork, social justice, and creativity can connect with their musical ambitions—a clever way to invite students to think outside the music box, and to awaken fresh attention with a community audience that isn’t used to hearing classical music.
