Milken Institute Panel on Music and the Brain
07-20-2022
How does music impact the brain? Our field continues to explore this question in new ways (such as the research being conducted by the Music and Health Research Institute, featured earlier this month.) In May, the Milken Institute brought together four leading experts to discuss some of the latest research on music’s effects on memory, reasoning, speech, and emotion across our lifespan. This hour-long panel features personal reflections from opera singer and advocate Renée Fleming, U.C. San Francisco Medical Center’s Dr. Charles Limb , International Arts + Mind’s Susan Magsamen, and director/producer Michael Rossato-Bennett.
