Grant-writing skills are a necessity in our line of work, but the process does not come naturally to all of us. Musician’s Way, an online resource supporting musicians’ practice, performance, and wellness, has advice on how to raise funds for community-based events. Gerald Klickstein’s article “How to Write a Grant Proposal” offers some basic guidelines for musicians on successful project design and grant-writing, including how to identify suitable funders and how to structure a grant proposal.
