One Mozart piece—Sonata for Two Pianos, K448—is a helpful treatment for epilepsy. No, other Mozart pieces don’t seem to work, nor do Beethoven’s. Scientists have known about “the K448 Effect” for 30 years, but are only now starting to understand why it exists. This Big Think article explains what they are beginning to discover.
