Australians Push Back on Proposed Arts-Funding Cuts

Arts programs are often the first to be affected by government cutbacks, and proposed cuts are putting the future of the Melbourne Youth Orchestras at risk. Thankfully, it’s not a done deal, especially with recent pushback from the public. Their activism is an example of how community arts programs thrive when they prioritize ‘community’ as much as ‘arts.’
