Take 40 minutes to watch The Last Repair Shop, an Oscar-nominated documentary short from L.A. Times Short Docs & Searchlight Pictures. The film celebrates the unsung heroes who make our instruments sing, sharing stories of how music has shaped both their lives and the lives of the students whose instruments they repair. Their workshop provides free repairs to over 80,000 student instruments across the Los Angeles school district—one of the last districts in America to provide such services.
