Youth Music Camp in China Attracts International Attention

An ensemble music camp for young players across Southeast Asia’s Greater Bay Area is drawing the attention of international musicians. Youth Music Culture The Greater Bay Area (YMCG), started in 2017 by cellist Yo-Yo Ma in Guangzhou, China, just wrapped their annual program with concerts in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. The program, which has historically attracted musicians from China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and across Europe, emphasizes exchange, listening, and collaboration as essential ingredients for ensemble musical excellence.
