Sistema Toronto Students Release Hip-Hop Track ‘Earth’
07-10-2024
A recent project by Sistema Toronto offers an impressive example of how young people are committing to environmental stewardship. “Earth,” the result of a month-long residency with hip-hop artist and educator Aaron Manswell, is a hip-hop piece about creating a sustainable planet, co-produced and performed by Sistema Toronto students. The project not only exposed students to new musical skills; it also created space for them to develop and share a socially conscious message with their community. Listen to “Earth” on YouTube, where you can also check out their process recording “Skibbidy.”
