Arts & Cultural Sector Reports Center Voices of BIPOC Communities

A national research initiative, Culture + Community in a Time of Transformation, has released two reports on the impact of the pandemic on equity and access within the arts and cultural sector, highlighting perspectives from BIPOC-serving organizations.

“Rethinking Relevance, Rebuilding Engagement” explores how arts and culture organizations can engage and support their communities in a time of global upheaval and social change.

“A Place to Be Heard, a Space to Feel Held” centers the voices of Black Americans on the importance of creativity, joy, belonging, and connection in their lives. These four themes form the basis for their recommendations for a more inclusive arts and cultural sector.
