Sphinx Announces 2022 Sphinx Medals of Excellence Awardees

The Sphinx Medal of Excellence recognizes Black and Latinx classical musicians who “demonstrate artistic excellence, outstanding work ethic, a spirit of determination, and an ongoing commitment to leadership and their communities.” It also comes with a $50,000 career grant. Sphinx has just announced its 2022 recipients: pianist Michelle Cann, violinist Randall Goosby, and soprano Karen Slack.
