Addressing Social Issues with Classical Music
10-20-2021
Musicians for Solidarity is an international collective of professional musicians who recognize that the serious social issues we all face should be reflected more intentionally in our classical music institutions. Through their work, they seek to raise awareness of these issues and use the field as a platform and engine for social development. The group offers blogs, discussions, and a monthly Chat for Change podcast with 14 episodes—one with José Ángel Salazar Marín, Artistic Director of El Sistema Greece.
