The Joel Foundation Gifts $250,000 to the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music

The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music has had a big year thanks in part to a $250,000 gift from The Joel Foundation. The gift is meant to expand BCKP’s Music Therapy program, which is quickly growing into one of the most substantial community music programs in the U.S. Marking one of the largest celebrity philanthropic gifts to a music therapy program, the donation signals a hopeful shift toward more high-level support of arts for social impact programs.
