Meet Sistema Cyprus

Welcome, Sistema Cyprus!  After a pilot year, Sistema Cyprus, led by Director Nicoletta Polydorou, is now a full program, building from a bucket band/percussion focus to encompass a range of instruments.  The program works in two financially struggling sections of Nicosia, and makes special opportunities for refugee/immigrant children, connecting them with Cypriots. Two students are already advanced enough to take part in the SEYO ’18 Festival.  El Sistema Cyprus provides another inspiring answer to the challenges of social inclusion and cultural integration faced by so many European countries.
