Trombone Shorty Builds Musical Ties between U.S. and Cuba

Musicians wield powerful tools for strengthening diplomatic relations: their instruments. In addition to a successful performance career, American bandleader Trombone Shorty heads a dedicated musical exchange program for young people from the U.S. and Cuba. Their annual visits to Cuba have inspired the young people involved to pursue careers in music and give back to their communities. Learn more about the program on this PBS NewsHour special.
