New Research on Music and Resilience

12-21-2022

The University of Tasmania’s Music and Resilience Project takes a sociological approach to studying resilience among young people, framing it as a model for ensemble work. The project examines three domains of learning—cognitive, intrapersonal, and interpersonal—that contribute to building resilience, pulling in real-world examples from the university’s research with the Tasmanian Youth Orchestras. Through solid research, honest testimonials, and good questions, their website will help ensemble leaders examine their leadership approach. (It’s not a bad advocacy tool, either.)
