OAcademy Offers Fast-Track Artist Diplomas in 2023

Most teaching artists grew up in a world where Artist Diplomas from select conservatories were the gold standard for preparing professional musicians. But this is changing fast: musical excellence is no longer the sole factor in sustaining a career in music, and most career paths for musicians also require strong interpersonal and community engagement skills. Therefore, in 2023, the innovative digital training platform OAcademy is offering the first fast-track Artist Diploma program, expanding certification options for musicians with limited time and resources. A member of the European Association of Conservatories, OAcademy is offering the six-month (January–June 2023) course to early-career musicians seeking to develop their instrumental performance, 21st-century industry skills, and community leadership. Rising orchestra professionals, concert pianists, conductors, and composers can apply for one of four certificate programs via OAcademy. All accepted OAcademy Fellows will be awarded scholarships valued between $10,000 and $15,300 USD. The deadline to apply is October 15; applications are free and accepted on a rolling basis.
