Funding for Instruments

06-15-2022

High-quality stringed instruments are expensive!  Musicians and music organizations struggling with that cost should check out two funding organizations working to make music-learning more accessible. In the U.S., the Classics for Kids Foundation is offering quarterly matching grants to U.S.-based schools and nonprofit organizations that serve at-risk and rural youth. Applications are reviewed quarterly; the next deadline is June 30, just in time for the start of the school year!

And if you are outside the U.S., we recommend exploring the Rachel Barton Pine Foundation, which provides educational grants, funding for music accessories, and instrument loans to musicians worldwide. Check the website for more information about grant deadlines and a list of other helpful foundations.
