Two Reports Advocate for the Arts’ Impact on People of All Ages

01-19-2022

Given the ongoing mental health crisis during the pandemic, you may be looking to strengthen your arts advocacy. Two reports can help. Focusing on young music education, the authoritative American Academy of Arts and Sciences has published “Art for Life’s Sake: The Case for Arts Education.” Even for those not in the U.S., this report offers a solid, broad argument for using the arts to alleviate many of the pandemic’s negative effects on young people.

On the other end of the age spectrum, the Global Council of Brain Health’s “Music on Our Minds: The Rich Potential of Music to Promote Brain Health and Mental Well-Being” lays out the benefits of music for adult brain health, especially for those who are recovering from brain damage or living with brain disease.
