Apply for IFCD Grant Funding

04-21-2021

Last month, UNESCO’s International Fund for Cultural Diversity launched its 12th call for funding requests. Open to NGOs, INGOs, and institutions from eligible countries (developing countries and parties to the 2005 Convention), they ask for projects that: 1) introduce or elaborate on policies and strategies that “have a direct effect on the creation, production, distribution of and access to a diversity of cultural expressions, including cultural goods, services and activities”; and 2) lead to structural change through “the reinforcement of human and institutional capacities of public sector and civil society organizations.” The maximum amount of funding one can request is $100,000 USD, and allocations will be sent in three installments—before, during, and after the project. UNESCO’s website offers more information, including an annotated guide, a project framework form, a list of eligible countries, and complementary documents. The deadline to apply is June 16, 2021, 12:00 (GMT +2). View the Call for Applications here.
