A New Study Reports on Adolescent Health

A new study from The Lancet is the first in recent years to report on adolescent health looking broadly across 195 countries.  It finds an increase in obesity and anemia since 1990, along with reductions in smoking.  Find and read the study here. Among twelve indicators researchers used to examine adolescent health in 195 countries, the report finds that between 1990 and 2016, obesity has doubled among young people around the world between ages 10 and 24; one in five adolescents around the world is now overweight/obese. The report gathers data on twelve key issues like this.
